About me…

Animals have always been an important part of my life. And now I get to share my love and appreciation of these amazing creatures with you!

I am lucky to live on a beautiful 21-acre wooded property in Haldimand, Ontario. Together with my husband and daughter, we share our life with Border Collies, Runner Ducks, a Cockatiel, and even a Hermit Crab!

As a Pet Professional for more than 30 years including Professional Dog Trainer, foster home with Border Collie Rescue Ontario, owner of Hug-a-Pup Dogsitting Services, and now also a Pet Photographer, I’m well equipped and excited to work with you and your pets!

Hi!

This is me!

Why am I a pet photographer?

I know all too well that our pets are only with us for a short time. My eldest pup, Switch, is now 16, and I realize that our time together is limited. Every day is a gift, and I cherish her time with us, so I’m focused on capturing her little unique details with my camera. I understand how important those images will be one day.

I am truly grateful for the opportunity to create these same lasting memories for fellow pet lovers.

Photos and albums are tangible keepsakes we can hold on to when they are gone and they ensure that their story lives on. We’re reminded of their spirit and how important that relationship was to us. I want to give the gift of those tangible memories, and I’m passionate about sharing that with you.

Each time I have lost a pet (and sadly that has been more times than I would like to think about…), the first thing I do is search for all of those precious photos from our time together. They mean so much to me and are treasured forever. Our pets live on through those photos, and I’m transported back to that particular moment each time I see the photos.

I look back at some of my early pets, and I regret that we don’t have as many photos of them as we do of our more recent pets. After digital cameras and smartphones became popular, I filled up multiple hard drives of photos - BUT - up until the last few years, those were just digital files sitting on a dusty old hard drive. I now appreciate how important it is to print our images, and have them on display around our home or in an album that we can enjoy without booting up the old computer, or hoping that the USB in my junk drawer still works!

I feel it’s important to give you the chance to have beautiful memories captured of your pets too, and to have something not only to decorate your home but to have personal pieces of art that make you smile each time you pass by it.

Having beautiful photos of our pets is so important! I’m thrilled to tell your pet's story and I love to offer my art as a cherished keepsake of your time together.
